Pro Bono for Clinic

Arnika — Brand Refresh & Website Design

Arnika is a family medical clinic in Odesa, established in 2003. Over two decades, they built a loyal patient base through genuine care and evidence-based medicine — but their digital presence hadn't kept up.

We took on a pro bono redesign: new structure, rewritten content, SEO optimisation, and a refreshed visual identity. The goal was to translate 20 years of trust into something patients could actually find — and feel.

Starting Point

The site hadn't changed in over a decade. Navigation was broken. Content was in Russian. Everything that made Arnika special — unique therapies, 20+ years of experience, eight highly qualified doctors — was either buried or invisible to a visitor.

The site read like a registration form, not a clinic that genuinely cares about people.

Approach

The tech stack was deliberately minimal: Figma for working through details, components, the logo, and refining the visual language. HTML and CSS for direct prototyping — no wireframe tools, no handoff complexity. The client won't be managing content going forward, so there's no need for a CMS at this stage. Claude handled technical questions and code, and assisted with copy editing. ChatGPT resolved what could have been a serious obstacle — the clinic had no quality photography. Generated and enhanced images filled the gaps without compromising the professional tone the project required.

The focus was on content: researching what patients in Odesa actually search for, restructuring the site around the clinic's real needs and values. AI tools compressed the timeline. But every decision about trust, hierarchy, and voice was made deliberately — by us.

Built in one week. Fast delivery only matters when the result justifies the expectations. In this case, it does.
