Vadim Grinberg
Book design · Exhibition support · Visual identity

Vadim Grinberg was the founder of BATCHART — a contemporary avant-garde movement that united different styles, ideas, artistic directions, and media. Its core idea was a universal synthesis of beauty, freedom, and tolerance.
Formally, he was an artist and a sculptor. But these definitions were far too narrow for him. Vadim was a creator in the most precise sense of the word. He worked with form, image, material, words, space, even scent — mixing disciplines long before it became common. At a time, from the late 20th century onward, when art was still clearly divided into painting, sculpture, and literature, he crossed boundaries naturally and fearlessly.
He began writing poetry and creating his first works in the late 1970s. He lived as if time was always ahead of him — fast, intense, uncompromising. Such freedom was often met with misunderstanding and envy. Yet his inner strength, talent, and the support of those close to him helped him move forward.
Vadim exhibited widely, received awards, collaborated with iconic figures, and lived between cities and cultures. His artistic geography included Odessa, Moscow, and Los Angeles. Today, his works can be found in museums and private collections in different parts of the world.

Facts from his life & circle
Vadim Grinberg was not only an artist but also a part of a unique cultural era. He personally knew and communicated with many iconic figures of his time — musicians, actors, and artists whose influence shaped global culture.
Among them were members of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Milla Jovovich, and Luciano Pavarotti. These encounters were not trophies or anecdotes — they were part of a living dialogue between art, music, cinema, and literature.
Vadim absorbed everything around him and transformed it into his own language. His poetry, visual works, and performances reflected a deeply personal view of the world — ironic, bold, sensitive, and philosophical at the same time. His life itself became a kind of artistic statement.
